World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage. The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much it will increase after a future reset. Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a substantial possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts. When you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats. Utilizing a Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes. Leveling The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as “upping”. Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded. Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses. When the player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it. Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a different set of bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be used frequently as it could waste resources. Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item.
